Whetstone Village Email

Do you have difficulty remembering your complicated e-mail address?

Our website now has a mailbox facility, so you can have your own personalized Whetstone address. You can use your own name, nickname, or anything else that is easy for you and your friends to remember.

Here are a few examples:

johnsmith@whetstone.org.uk

john.smith@whetstone.org.uk

j.smith@whetstone.org.uk

smithy@whetstone.org.uk

thesmiths@whetstone.org.uk

bobthebuilder@whetstone.org.uk

It's Your Choice.
The choice is really up to you, but you must already have an existing e-mail address with your internet service provider such as Freeserve, AOL, Compuserve, BTclick, etc.

All e-mail sent to your new Whetstone address will automatically be rerouted to your existing address (default address). You can still use your default address as well as your Whetstone one.

Your new address will stay with you even if you change your service provider - so you only need to notify us of your new default address, your Whetstone one will stay the same. You won't need to reprint your stationery or tell friends of the change.

Have you ever missed an e-mail because the sender has made a slight mistake in your address?
All mail with an unknown @whetstone.org.uk address will be directed to our mailbox where we can then manually redirect it to your correct default address.

So where's the catch?

Our website host company make a charge for this service, so we ask for a ten pound annual subscription fee to cover this and administration costs. Second and subsequent addresses are five pounds annually. There are no charges to community groups and charities.

How to apply for a Whetstone e-mail address:

It will take a day or so to set-up your new address.
You will be notified by e-mail when it's ready.
